Donate today

When you donate to CNIB Guide Dogs, you’re joining an extraordinary group of people dedicated to changing the lives of Canadians with sight loss.

The cost of owning a guide dog should never be a barrier to independence and your gift ensures the handler never pays a cent.

Donations to CNIB Guide Dogs support the entire program rather than one individual dog, to maximize the impact of your gift.

Why give monthly?

Restrictions caused by COVID-19 have contributed to a surge in demand for guide dogs. Since the pandemic began, applications for CNIB Guide Dogs have increased by more than 375%. Monthly donations provide critical long-term support that will allow us to ensure no one ever has to wait to access the life-changing gifts of freedom, independence and mobility.

Each month, your donation will support:

$40 per month can provide a new and improved harness and is made with activity in mind, so handlers and guide dogs can lead an active lifestyle. $25 per month can cover a guide dog's annual vet bills, including vaccinations and preventative care, helping ensure a happy, healthy career as a guide dog. $15 per month can provide six guide dogs with various toys and treats to enjoy when they are off harness. Figures have been calculated based on one year of giving.

Donors change lives

"A great big thank you to monthly donors for helping bring my wonderful Weasley into my life. It's generous people like you that make it possible for [Canadians with sight loss] to enjoy a better quality of life."

"It is so difficult to put into words how Ulysses has transformed my life. Working with him makes me feel like I’m flying.
